Alexis Sanchez ‘furious and never wants to play for Arsenal again as Manchester City eye cut-price January deal’

ALEXIS SANCHEZ is reportedly furious over not being allowed to join Manchester City and does not want to play for Arsenal again.

The Chilean looked set for a deadline day switch to the Etihad before his £60million move fell through.

Goal claim that the 28-year-old has now made his anger absolutely clear to Emirates officials with City already drawing up plans to sign him in January.

Although it appears unlikely that the former Barcelona forward will go through with his strike, Arsene Wenger must tread very carefully upon the star's return.

And any hopes of trying to get him to finally accept a new £300,000-a-week contract extension have also gone.

He is determined to leave the Emirates and is now more so than ever after Thursday's debacle.

Sanchez had already told the Gunners of his desire to depart before heading out to South America for international duty.

City officials were even in attendance in Santiago in order to process the move before Chile's 3-0 World Cup qualification defeat to Paraguay last night.

But Arsenal's failure to sign Thomas Lemar in a £92m deal from Monaco caused Wenger to put a halt on Sanchez's exit - leaving both the player and their Premier League rivals seething.

And the North West club are ready to make an official complaint about the way the Gunners handled the saga.

However, City will look to capitalise on the situation by making another attempt to land Sanchez in the January window.

By then he will only have six months remaining on his contract with the North London club and is likely to cost a lot less than the £60m they were prepared to pay this week.

Not for the first time, Sanchez informed Wenger he wanted out after Sunday's disastrous 4-0 defeat at Liverpool.

Both City and Arsenal are blaming each other for the shambolic affair on the deadline day, but both Sanchez and his agent believe it is the Londoners in the wrong.
