Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho comes on as sub in Game4Grenfell… and instantly gets booked for time wasting
Former Premier League referee Mark Halsey gets revenge for officials as he dishes out yellow card to the Red Devils chief in charity match
JOSE MOURINHO has never been one to hold back when it comes to referees - but ex-Premier League official Mark Halsey managed to extract some revenge on Saturday.
The Manchester United boss was among the stars in attendance at the Game4Grenfell.
And he left his usual position in the dug-out to pull on the boots and goalkeeper gloves to replace former England stopper David James between the sticks midway through the second half.
With his Team Shearer side leading Team Ferdinand 2-1 at his introduction, Mourinho did not take long to make his presence felt.
In fact, just a few minutes had elapsed following his arrival before he found himself going into Halsey's notebook.
The Portuguese took a little too long while taking a goal-kick, even taking a sip from a supporters drink, and he was immediately cautioned for time-wasting by the ref.
Mourinho later handed his gloves to a delighted fan in the crowd after the match - but the world of Twitter loved his cameo just as much as those in attendance in West London.
