Manchester United news: Jose Mourinho admits he sets his watch 20 minutes forward to stay under pressure
Old Trafford manager likes to feel the heat and insists he is uncomfortable with his team's perfect start
FORGET Fergie time, Jose Mourinho goes by his own watch.
The Manchester United manager admits he lives 20 minutes in the future to keep himself under pressure.
He told The Times: "I like to put pressure on myself. I like to take the watch and put it forward. At the moment it’s 2.30pm. If I have to be some place at 3pm, I tell myself it’s ten to three.
"In my job, too, I have done that. I accelerate the timings. I always think that a little bit of pressure is good."
United, much like their boss, have set the pace this season.
The rampant Red Devils have won all three of their Premier League games and scored ten goals in the process.
But Mourinho insists he is out of his comfort zone - and would rather a more bumpy ride.
He said: "I don’t like the sea to be flat.

"I don’t like, for example, like now, for people to be speaking about my team the way they are speaking. I think it’s very premature. I don’t like it.
"I prefer the other way around. Put a little bit of pressure on it. Timings are a good way to put pressure on myself."
Mourinho stunned United by admitting he is NOT thinking of extending his Old Trafford deal beyond May 2019.
The former Chelsea chief also believes he saved United over £100MILLION on transfers this summer by getting his business done early.
