Arsenal ace Hector Bellerin is not even in Premier League’s top ten fastest players with Kyle Walker the new speed king

Sadio Mane, Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba and Jamie Vardy all included in top 10 with a few surprises on the list

MANCHESTER CITY right-back Kyle Walker has been named as the fastest Premier League player this season, but there was bad news for the league's former speed king.

Hector Bellerin has not made it into the top ten... and is not even the fastest defender at Arsenal.

According to stats from Opta, Laurent Koscielny has recorded a staggering time of 35.11kph (21.81mph) - amazingly just missing out on top place by 0.04 seconds.

In a dreadful start to the season for Gunners fans, one small shining light is the face their ageing centre-back is not losing his pace.

Former Tottenham ace Walker is first with a time of 35.16kph (21.84mph), followed by Watford full-back Kiko Femenia who was clocked at a time of 35.12kph (21.82mph).

Liverpool winger Sadio Mane - who has netted three times in the opening three top-flight matches, comes in at fourth.

The Senegalese international ran a time of 34.84kph (21.65mph), just in front of Bournemouth's wide man Ryan Fraser who was timed at 34.79kph (21.61mph).

Two Manchester United players feature in the bottom half of the list, but they were trumped by another Cherries forward.

Joshua King was clocked running at 34.70kph (21.56mph) - the Norwegian striker is yet to get off the mark for Eddie Howe's men this campaign.

Next in the list in seventh spot was Red Devils midfielder Paul Pogba, as his fantastic season carries on.

He has scored twice already for Jose Mourinho's side who have picked up nine points as they sit top of the table

Pogba was clocked in at 34.68kph (21.54mph) - quicker than Leicester City fan favourite Jamie Vardy whose quickest time has been 34.65kph (21.53mph).

An Everton player then comes in at ninth, with young centre-forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin clocking an impressive 34.62kph (21.51mph).

Romelu Lukaku, N'Golo Kante and Salomon Rondon then complete the list, all being timed at 34.56kph (21.47mph).

Surprisingly, the French midfielder is the quickest player in the Blues squad, beating the likes of Willian, Pedro and Alvaro Morata.

Speedsters Theo Walcott. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Marcus Rashford failed to be included in the top ten, while Eden Hazard is yet to feature this season.

With the Premier League resuming this weekend following the international break, you can be sure there will be a new inductee in the list come Monday night.
