INTER MILAN will insert an anti-Manchester United clause in Ivan Perisic's contract to finally put an end to rumours linking him with the Red Devils.
Jose Mourinho desperately tried to bring him to Old Trafford in the summer, but the Croatian winger is now set to extend his stay at the San Siro.
According to Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serie A side will insert the clause in the 28-year-old's new deal to prevent a move to the Europa League champions.
They are ready to hand him a £4million-a-year contract as Perisic looks to commit himself to Luciano Spalletti's team.
United were knocked by Inter in the transfer window with a £35m bid, with the 2010 Champions League winners demanding £50m for their prized asset.
Contrary to recent reports, Perisic's new deal will NOT have a release clause inserted.
It was believed that Inter would include a £64m but-out fee in his contract, but that now appears to not be the case.
