The Spain frontman had recently not been seen in two weeks.

But recent images showed him driving his car in his home town of Logarto.

The 28-year-old was spotted in his Mercedes SUV, on the same day Blues chiefs moved his luxury Range Rover from the first-team car park at Cobham.

It was then dumped into the youth team area as the row between club and player continues with another bitter twist.

Costa is furious with the way Chelsea handled the transfer window.

And he still longs to return to the Vicente Calderon, where boss Diego Simeone has just penned a new deal which will keep him there until 2020.

Costa has already been out of action for the first month of this season, with Stamford Bridge manager Antonio Conte no longer considering him in his plans for the campaign ahead.
