Dele Alli gets two-fingered salute in Tottenham’s win over Everton by fuming Toffees fan
DELE ALLI got a taste of his own medicine when an Everton fan gave the Spurs and England ace a two-fingered salute.
The Tottenham star is under a Fifa investigation over making a sweary hand gesture in England’s game with Slovakia but he was the victim during the 3-0 win on Saturday.
The Three Lions ace insists he was aiming the insult at team-mate Kyle Walker.
But if it is proven he was cursing referee Clement Turpin then he could be hit with a ban.
Shortly after the game Alli took to social media to explain his actions, he wrote: “Just to clarify, the gesture tonight was a joke between me and my good friend Kyle Walker! Apologies for any offence caused! Great win 2nite”.

And England boss Gareth Southgate defended his man, saying: “Kyle and Dele were mucking about, and Dele’s made a gesture towards Kyle.
“I don’t know what the angle picked up by the camera is, so I don’t know if that is clear.
“The pair of them have a strange way of communicating but that’s what they’ve said when it’s been raised.”

And Alli’s Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino compared his man to Mr Bean over his slapstick gesture.
He said: “There’s a lot of things worse than this situation.
“It’s true it’s not a fantastic gesture but it’s not a big issue. I don’t think it’ll be a big issue with Fifa or with us.”
“Maybe the headlines are because it’s Dele and something happens. And he’s English.
"But I think it’s not a big issue.
“For me, it’s about moving on and not to create important things about this. He was joking.
“Look at Mr Bean. No? That is a bad example! All the people laugh about that. And Dele was joking with Kyle Walker! Come on. We need to censor Mr Bean.”
