MANCHESTER UNITED legend Rio Ferdinand has backed Liverpool's Sadio Mane after his controversial sending-off for a high foot on Manchester City's Ederson.
The Reds forward was shown a straight red for his challenge on the Brazilian No1, with opinion completely split in the footballing world.
While many believe Mane had his eyes firmly on the ball, others have claimed it was incredibly dangerous and the sending-off was justified.
Now, former England star Ferdinand has his say... claiming Mane should NOT have been sent-off, as he got away with similar incidents during his career.

Ferdinand completed his series of tweets by writing: "I won the ball!!! #Mane"
