ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC revved up for his comeback by warning Prem defenders: "When I come back, the world will know."

The striker is moving through the gears after beginning running following knee surgery as he bids for a return to Manchester United action.

While the super Swede did not put a time frame on his comeback, he appears as bullish as ever over his ability.

Ibra said: "The knee is almost there. I want everybody to have patience.

"And when I come back, the world will know."

The former Paris Saint-Germain ace was speaking at a Volvo promo event in his homeland.

And he reckons even his boss will want to drive one when they see him back in a United shirt.

He added: "Everybody drives Volvo. I even forced my team-mates to buy Volvo now. They know what Volvo is now.

"Now, with the No.10 (shirt) you'll see a difference. I'll even make Mourinho drive a Volvo!"

Ibra, 35, will have a fight on his hands to return as United's main man in attack after Romelu Lukaku's impressive start to life at Old Trafford.

The £90million Belgian netted the latest of his five goals in as many games during Saturday's 2-2 draw at Stoke.

And Lukaku said last week that he is not willing to give up his place without a fight.

Lukaku, 24, said: "I don't fear the competition — or Zlatan. He will help us in our goal of winning the title and we need his personality.

“He will bring many qualities to the team, and help us in our goal of winning the title. I don’t fear the competition as a striker, or Zlatan.

“Things are going really well for me at United, the pre-season was good and it helped knowing a lot of the players before arriving.

“The manager has helped me a lot to settle quickly, so it has all been very positive.

“I am now with a coach that I have wanted to play with for a long time, since I was 11 years of age. And with him we are looking to do something special.”

Lukaku, who rang Ibrahimovic to ask if he could wear his No 9 shirt at United, added: "There are big rivals for the title but things are going really well for me now."
