But the Daily Mail are reporting that Costa could be shipped out to Saudi club Al Hilal on loan as he cannot play until January.
Costa landed in Madrid yesterday and, according to AS, has told Chelsea chiefs he will stay there until his switch is completed.
The move is said to be the Spanish international's way of putting pressure on the Blues to hurry along a deal.
