Graeme Souness tells Paul Pogba to be more like Marouane Fellaini in attack on Manchester United ace
GRAEME SOUNESS has criticised the play of Manchester United star Paul Pogba - and told him to be more like Marouane Fellaini.
Pogba lasted just 18 minutes as captain of United last night before he was forced off with a hamstring strain the club fear could keep him out for up to a month.
But that was more than enough time for the French midfielder to upset TV pundit Souness, who was covering the 3-0 Champions League victory over Basel for Irish channel TV3.
Souness was highly critical of the defensive work of the £89million midfielder, particularly one incident where he failed to chase back after losing possession.
He said: "I want to see Paul Pogba do what Fellaini does."
Belgian star Fellaini has endured a difficult relationship with United supporters, some of whom believe he is not good enough to play for the club.
But his abilities have been singled out for praise by manager Jose Mourinho, who said people had no idea how important Fellaini was to his squad.
And the midfielder responded to the words of his boss by replacing Pogba and delivering a man-of-the-match display which included scoring the crucial opening goal.

Former Liverpool legend Souness didn't hold back in his criticism of Pogba, labelling the Frenchman a "bit of a YouTuber" who has not won much in his career.
Souness may have tasted plenty of success in his playing career, winning two European Cups and five league titles during his impressive spell with Liverpool.
