Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba out for four weeks with hamstring injury and is serious doubt to face Liverpool
Jose Mourinho hopes £89million man will be fit to return for visit to Anfield on October 14
PAUL POGBA is out for at least four weeks with a hamstring injury and is a serious doubt for the clash against Liverpool.
Jose Mourinho hopes the £89million midfielder will be fit for the trip to Anfield on October 14.
A scan carried out at United's Aon Training Complex today confirmed Pogba faces a month on the sidelines.
Mourinho is understood to be willing to bide his time with the France star's recovery.
He is taking a similar approach to the return to health of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Pogba will miss the home clash against Wayne Rooney's Everton side on Sunday.
The former Juventus man would have been rested for Wednesday's League Cup tie at home to Burton.
And he now looks set to also be missing for United's trip to Moscow in the second round of their Champions League fixtures.
Premier League games against Southampton and Crystal Palace also look like they will come too soon.
And team-mate Marcus Rashford admitted the playmaker will be a glaring omission in their side.
He said: "Paul's going to be a massive miss and hopefully we can get him back fit as soon as possible."
