Marcelo names Cristiano Ronaldo as obvious best team-mate — but snubs Lionel Messi and Jose Mourinho when picking best rival and manager
Brazilian left-back celebrated new five-year contract at Benabeu with Q&A where he revealed surprise answers
MARCELO has incredibly revealed Lionel Messi is NOT his most difficult opponent.
The Real Madrid left-back celebrated his new five-year contract by answering a Q&A session, where he named his best team-mate, rival and manager.
And it's fair to say there were some shocks along the way.
Fabio Capello, Jose Mourinho and and Carlo Ancelotti are among the big names to have bossed Marcelo.
However, when asked who his best manager was, he had his answer ready: "[Zinedine] Zidane.
"Without even speaking to him, he understands me — just with a look.
"Who knows? Maybe it's because he was a player.
"It is difficult to unite a team with so many great players in such a short space of time."
The 29-year-old selection as his best team-mate was a much more obvious one — although he made sure to make it seem like there were genuine rivals.

He admitted: "I have played with Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and [Ruud] van Nistelrooy, but you know who the best is: Cristiano [Ronaldo] — he is the most complete."
However, despite having faced Messi on numerous occasions in Real Madrid-Barcelona battles during his time in La Liga, there is someone else he claims has given him more trouble.
He added: "And the rival is Neymar."
