Everton were lucky to go in the break just 3-0 down after the Italian missed a handful of chances at the Citta del Tricolore.

Goals from Andrea Masiello, Alejandro Gomez and Bryan Cristante sent the home fans into jubilation.

However fans of the Premier League side failed to hold back their anger and frustration.

This season was meant to start the dawn of a new era for Everton after a busy transfer window that saw the likes of Wayne Rooney, Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane, Davy Klaassen and Gylfi Sigurdsson all sign for the club.

But they look to have gotten off to the worst possible start in Europe after Koeman made six changes to his side.

Evertonians don't have too much to cheer about as they currently sit in 16th spot in the English top-flight, without a win since the opening weekend.
