DIEGO COSTA is selling his cars as he looks to move to Spain.

The AWOL Chelsea striker has set his sights on a return to Atletico Madrid – and has already moved his family out of his base in Oxshott, Surrey.

And he is now flogging his two cars – one Mercedes and one BMW – as he wants a left-hand drive in the Spanish capital.

Costa's club car has already been moved from its parking place at the Chelsea’s Cobham HQ to make room for new players.

The Range Rover he had left in the first team car park at the start of the summer has now been shifted out to a youth team bay.

The 28-year-old is STILL not back at Chelsea despite being included in their Premier League squad.

He was expected to report back after his summer holidays in Brazil - but the Spain international has not returned and is racking up fines while absent from training.

And he is determined to return to Atletico Madrid, where he spent four years before arriving at Stamford Bridge.

Antonio Conte told Costa he was not in his plans during showdown talks in January, then told him again via text during the summer.

Chelsea had planned to cash in on the controversial forward over the summer, but they lost their bargaining strength when Costa went public to reveal Costa's text message.

And he angered the champions further by insisting he was not interested in moving anywhere other than going back to Atletico.

But with the Spanish club under a transfer embargo until January, they were in no mood to rush through a deal and pay the striker's wages while he was unable to play.

It meant Chelsea have been forced to continue paying the forward, although all the time he is refusing to turn up for training they are able to impose heavy fines.

Negotiations between Chelsea and Atletico have continued since the transfer window closed last month, and the deal is finally expected to be done soon to clear his move in January.
