Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin ‘disappointed’ with his team’s draw against Chelsea

The young defender believes his team should have walked away from Stamford Bridge with three points

HECTOR BELLERIN said he was disappointed to come away with a 0-0 draw against Chelsea.

The Spaniard believes the outcome could have been different if his team were more aggressive in front of the goal and took advantage of the chances they created.

Bellerin said: "I'm disappointed because we had chances to win the game.

"To be fair they had a few as well, but I think if we would have been efficient at the beginning of the game it would have been a completely different with the chances we had."

He added: "Obviously we know it's a hard venue to come to and we can't really be that disappointed with a point because it was well-fought by both teams, but the fact that we thought we could have come away with a win was disappointing."

Arsenal were denied a goal by Shkodran Mustafi who was marginally offside when he headed the ball past Thibaut Courtois.

Another agonisingly close call came from Aaron Ramsey who broke free on a run but hit the post.

The draw may have extended their win-less streak against last season's top six dating back to last season, but the Gunners could find plenty of positives in the Premier League clash.

It came three weeks after an humiliating 4-0 thrashing from Liverpool, so the Gunners could be forgiven for breathing a sign of relief taking back a point from the reigning league champions.

Arsenal have picked themselves up after the defeat that still looms over them and Wenger has had to answer to many questions, though he claims his side has responded in the "domains" against their London rivals, according to the Evening Standard.

They North London side responded with a 3-0 win over Bournemouth last Saturday and a 3-1 win over Cologne in the Champions League.

Bellerin said: "Sometimes there's games that are not going your way and that doesn't mean the team is not good enough.

"We've had a few good results in the past week, we've got the confidence back and were ready to beat Chelsea. It wasn't to be, but I think we have to take a lot of positives from the game."
