Golden Boy 2017 nominations: Marcus Rashford, Gabriel Jesus and Kyle Walker-Peters all in contention for prestigious award
Trio lead charge for English football along with Joe Gomez, Dominic Solanke, Reece Oxford and Dominic Calvert-Lewin
MARCUS RASHFORD and Gabriel Jesus go head-to-head in this year’s Golden Boy nominations.
The Manchester duo, of United and City respectively, are two of the finest young talents to emerge in the Premier League for years.
Rashford has nailed down a starting spot on the left-wing at Old Trafford following a stunning break-through in 2016.
While Jesus has been so influential at the Etihad that not even fan favourite Sergio Aguero is guaranteed a starting spot any more.
But they’re not the only representatives from English football on the shortlist from Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker-Peters features after making his Spurs debut earlier this season.
Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is another youngster to watch out for after he burst onto the scene at Goodison Park.
While Liverpool duo Dominic Solanke and Joe Gomez are also included as they both start to push for more game time at Anfield.

There is also a spot for West Ham defender Reece Oxford, who is currently on loan in Germany at Borussia Monchengladbach.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of regular face from across the continent, including Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe and Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.
But some football fans may have to Google some of the other lesser-known names, such as PSV Eindhoven’s Steven Bergwijn, Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa and RB Leipzig’s Jean-Kevin Augustin.
