WHAT A SHOW Manchester United put on last night at Old Trafford sweeping aside Burton Albion.
Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial were the stars as their Championship opponents were reminded of the huge gulf between the two divisions.
They had a nightmare first half with this Carabao Cup third round tie in the bag by the 36th minute as Rashford scored two and Jesse Lingard the other.
Rashford might have found himself in the wings as Romelu Lukaku has grabbed the headlines with his thrilling start to the season.
But this is five in as many games for the teenager as he reminded Old Trafford what a talent they have.
He had to play out wide of a three behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic last season and again now with Lukaku having arrived, sharing that duty with Martial.
Last night with Lukaku rested he was back up front as the lone man and loving it.
It took United just four minutes to score against Everton here on Sunday, just a minute more here last night.

Michael Carrick, enjoying his first football of the season played a pass into Lingard and his flick of the ball away from Ben Turner was perfect for Rashford to lift over the advancing Conor Ripley.
On 12 minutes he had a second receiving a ball off Daley Blind and swiftly turning away from Ton Flanagan 20 yards out before hitting a shot that went in off the left-hand upright.
The third was only spoilt by the fact it was helped by a deflection on its way in.
Great skill from Martial created it as he initially slipped before recovering to keep the ball, play a one two with Blind and find Lingard.
His shot was goalbound but the deflection off Turner helped to wrong foot the Burton goalkeeper.
Martial got the goal his play deserved when after an hour he played a neat one two with him and slotted a low shot into the bottom right-hand corner.
That is the fourth time in eight games this season United have hit four – although Lloyd Dyer pulled back a consolation in the final seconds.
Job well and truly done.
