Arsene Wenger facing Arsenal injury headache with Danny Welbeck and Calum Chambers crocked and Mesut Ozil fighting for fitness
ARSENE WENGER has been hit with a fresh injury blow after he revealed Calum Chambers and Danny Welbeck face almost a month on the sidelines.
Welbeck limped out of Arsenal's goalless draw with Chelsea with a groin strain that Wenger says will now keep him out of action until mid-October at the earliest.
And Chambers suffered a recurrence of an old hip injury in the Carabao Cup win over Doncaster which will sideline him for a similar amount of time.
The double injury news is a fresh concern for Gunners boss Wenger who already has concerns over the fitness of star players Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil for Monday's Premier League clash with West Brom.
Ozil has been out of action for the past fortnight with a knee injury, while Sanchez is still struggling to find peak fitness after reporting back from a summer break out of condition.
Wenger said: "Chambers came off , and I believe he will be out until after the international break, he has a recurrence of his hip problem.
"Welbeck has a groin injury and his target is Watford on October 14, that means after the international break.
"He won’t be available for England and not for us before the international break.
