‘I have Bayern in my heart‘

Chelsea transfer target Rafinha ends Antonio Conte transfer hopes after forcing way into Bayern Munich team

CHELSEA and Manchester United have no chance of landing Bayern Munich star Rafinha while he starring for the German side.

The Brazil defender was a popular man in the summer, with Antonio Conte eager to add him to his Blues squad.

And he looked like being peripheral figure at the Bundesliga giants with David Alaba set to play ahead of him.

But injuries and Carlo Ancelotti’s selections have helped Rafinha make the left-back slot his own and he has committed his future to the side beyond this season.

“Bayern's bosses know I already had offers from England and Spain before the season started.

“I have Bayern in my heart and I always give 100 per cent. They can always count on me.

“Therefore, I think those responsible understand that I really want to play, otherwise I will have to think about my future.

“I have a very good relationship and contact with the coach [Carlo Ancelotti] and I'm convinced I will get my game time.”

The Premier League sides were hopeful of landing the 32-year-old defender when he admitted concern he would not be a first-team regular this season.

But he already has three league starts – just seven short of his total for the whole of last season – and looks unlikely to lose his place.

With the Samba star in the starting XI, Bayern have won their last two games , scoring seven and conceding zero.

The summer transfer window was one the craziest we have ever seen.
