Who is Leon Goretzka?

Goretzka is often compared to former Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack, due to their similar styles of play.

Our friends at Football Whispers found he is aggressive and progressive when in possession, able to go from defence to attack in a split second.

In the Bundesliga last season, he managed 1.91 interceptions per game, while also being adept in the air, winning 1.68 aerial duels every 90 minutes.

The Schalke midfielder also enjoyed going goal, averaging just over two shots a game.
