Liverpool stars Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah lead the way at John Lennon airport as team make 2,000 mile journey to Moscow
Reds face Spartak Moscow on Tuesday in Champions League group stage but must first complete six-and-a-half hour flight
LIVERPOOL’S stars look relaxed as they prepare to make the 2,000 mile journey to Russia for their Champions League clash with Spartak Moscow.
The Reds play their second match of the group stages tomorrow night, with rivals Manchester United also in the Russian capital as they play CSKA on Wednesday.
Jurgen Klopp led the way at John Lennon airport as Liverpool made their way for a midday flight.
The flight itself is a whopping six-and-a-half hours long, and will see the Reds arrive at 9pm local time.
But that didn’t stop the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino from looking cool and collected in the British autumn rain.
Sadio Mane travelled with the group as he looks to make a start following his recent Premier League three-game suspension.
Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet are both sure to be in the dark over who’s lining up between the sticks.
While Daniel Sturridge and Mohamed Salah will be eager to be named in the attack for tomorrow night’s match.
Liverpool transfer news
Emre Can, Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan were also amongst those snapped at the airport.
But travelling fans have been warned to be on their best behaviour once they touch down in Moscow.
The Russian FA have told Liverpool and United supporters they must keep out of trouble during their time in the capital, or else face serving up to seven years in prison for hooliganism.
