Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku staying behind at training to help Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial’s finishing skills
ROMELU LUKAKU is helping Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial with their finishing technique after Manchester United training, SunSport can reveal.
The 24-year-old – a £75m summer signing from Everton – has been a revelation since joining United.
He has already bagged six goals in as many matches, and has become a key member of the Old Trafford dressing room.
Belgian striker Lukaku is also staying behind for up to an hour with his young strike partners to work on drills.
The ex-Chelsea ace has been advising them on where to receive the ball and the runs they all make off each other.
He is also helping them with their hold-up play, if Jose Mourinho decides to start them in the central role.
An Old Trafford source said: “He has been an absolute diamond since he has arrived at the club.
“He has taken upon himself to work with the other young lads. They are regularly staying behind for hours.

“Jose has been very impressed by the lengths they are all willing to go to. It has been a great start for Romelu at the club.
“Romelu is young himself, so there is a real camaraderie between the three of them. It’s great to see.”
SunSport exclusively revealed earlier this year that United superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic was helping the youngsters with their finishing.
The 35-year-old – who signed a new Red Devils deal last month – also handed out advice on how to improve their confidence in front of goal.
