JOSE MOURINHO is reportedly furious with the Premier League over Manchester United's fixtures after their Champions League away matches.

The Portuguese coach has been vocal in the past over his anger at the lack of help English clubs in Europe receive from the authorities.

And the Telegraph claim that he is raging and perplexed again at his side's scheduling this season.

United play all three of their Champions League away group matches on a Wednesday night in this year's competition.

But each one is followed by a 3pm Saturday kick-off.

However, rivals Manchester City's Prem match against Watford that preceded their trip to Feyenoord was the only other fixture to be scheduled for the same time on a Saturday following a Wednesday Champions League game.

United have a total of just 196 hours hours between matches, with their title foes all enjoying a lengthier respite.

Liverpool have the longest break with 321 hours, Tottenham are next with 290, Chelsea have 250 while City have 219 - but that figure could increase if the Manchester derby is switched in December from a 3pm Saturday start.

Despite facing a 1,600-mile journey from Moscow which will not see them arrive back in England until 4.30am on Thursday, the Red Devils have a mid-afternoon clash with Crystal Palace this weekend.

They have a similar scenario next month when they travel to Huddersfield after the trip to Basel.

Mourinho voiced his frustrations last season as he criticised the demands on his players over United's scheduling for their Europa League and Premier League matches.

But his concerns have not been eased this campaign and he is struggling to understand why his side have been put at a far greater disadvantage than their fellow Prem foes.
