Jack Wilshere: Twitter reacts to John Hartson labelling Arsenal star as ‘world class’ against Belarusian minnows BATE Borisov
The Gunners midfielder set up Theo Walcott for the opening goal in the Europa League clash at Borisov Arena
JOHN HARTSON has sent social media into meltdown after labelling Jack Wilshere as WORLD CLASS against BATE Borisov.
The 25-year-old set up Theo Walcott for the opening goal against the Belarusian minnows in the Europa League, leaving the former Gunners striker waxing lyrical over him.
Wilshere picked up the ball outside the area after a neat one-two with Olivier Giroud, and with one big touch broke free of the defender.
He then found the ex-Southampton star from six yards out who was all alone inside the penalty area.
Walcott duly dispatched, but the role the former Bolton loanee played in the goal left Hartson with a grin wider than a Cheshire cat.
But as many fans on Twitter pointed out, he simply found his man from a matter of yards away.
Walcott doubled Arsenal's tally shortly after after latching onto an error from goalkeeper Denis Shcherbitski.
And Rob Holding netted his first goal for the FA Cup champions with a close range finish, before Mirko Ivanic pulled one back with a sublime header.

Wilshere has impressed since Arsene Wenger has chucked him back in the squad after his injury problems.
A short cameo against Cologne two weeks ago was followed up with 90 minutes against Donacaster Rovers in the Carabao Cup.
And his display against BATE could force him into contention to be included in the starting XI against Brighton on Sunday.
