The Croatian boss was booed when he replaced Javier Hernandez with the Senegalese striker, but his dramatic strike sent fans into jubilation at the London Stadium
WEST HAM moved out of the relegation zone after Diafra Sakho netted a dramatic winner against Swansea.
The Senegalese striker - on as a second-half substitute for Javier Hernandez - scored in the 90th minute at the London Stadium to ease pressure on Slaven Bilic.
In a drab affair, neither side deserved the three points, but Hammers fans won't care as they leapfrog the Swans in the table.
It was a dismal first half, with Swansea City coming closest as Wilfried Bony called Joe Hart into action in the 15th minute.
His left-footed strike from distance was parried away by the England shot-stopper - though it looked like it was a save for the cameras.
West Ham hardly threatened, Michail Antonio forced Lukasz Fabianski into an early stop, before Andre Ayew's tame header failed to trouble the Polish star.
The home side were booed off the pitch when the referee blew the whistle at the end of the first half, and the jeers continues into the second period.
Manuel Lanzini's introduction into the match roared the West Ham faithful into life, but they were almost silenced when Martin Olsson's right-footed attempt from 25-yards out curled inches wide of the right-hand post.
West Ham goalkeeper Joe Hart said: "We are relieved of course. It was a difficult strange game that understandably won't get much airplay. It was a difficult atmosphere in some ways. I'm never going to criticise the fans, they come here and pay their money and have a right to their opinion. It was not a high-quality performance, I was not high quality today.
"We have to focus on the win. We have had seven points since the international break
"It is on all of us to take the pressure off. We don't get sucked into the speculation, we just stuck together and fight hard."
