Arsenal trained without Laurent Koscielny ahead of their Premier League clash with Brighton on Sunday
Arsene Wenger could be without the French stalwart when they welcome the Seagulls to the Emirates Stadium
ARSENAL could be without star defender Laurent Koscielny for Sunday's clash against Brighton.
The 32-year-old was a notable absentee from London Colney on Saturday afternoon as he battles an Achilles problem.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger revealed on Friday the French international is a doubt to face the Seagulls at the Emirates Stadium.
He said: "We have a doubt about Laurent Koscielny unfortunately and he will have a test tomorrow.
"It’s an Achilles problem, it’s ongoing.”
Koscielny featured in the full 90 minutes as Arsenal beat West Brom 2-0 last Monday, but wasn't included in the squad that beat BATE Borisov 4-2 in the Europa League on Thursday.
But it appears as though he hasn't been given the green light by club doctors, and could be rested to avoid further injury.
Shkodran Mustafi, Per Mertesacker and Nacho Monreal could start as the three centre-backs for Wenger, with Rob Holding another viable option.
