The wide man was bought by Blackpool for around £1million from Liverpool in 2011, who eventually sold him to the Tigers for £2m.

Ince, 25, claims he was due a percentage of the sale price, believed to be over ten per cent, and has not received it three years after his move to Hull.

Now both parties are heading to a potential court appearance over the payment, with the Tangerines having a different version of events.

Blackpool claim Ince forced the move and lost his right to the cash, so it will be a hard case — with expensive legal fees — to settle.

Ince was loaned out by Hull to Nottingham Forest and Derby, before joining the Rams permanently in 2015 for £4.75m.

He signed for the Terriers in July for £11m and has made nine appearances this season.
