Emmanuel Eboue looks to resurrect career in Northern Cyprus as ex-Arsenal ace signs one-year contract with new club
Ivory Coast international has joined Turk Ocagi Limassol on one-year deal after Galatasaray and Sunderland spells
Ex-Arsenal star Emmanuel Eboue has brought his career break to an end ... in NORTHERN CYPRUS.
The Ivory Coast international joined Sunderland in March 2016.
However he received a one-year playing ban later that month for failing to pay a former agent, and was released by the Black Cats.
Right-back Eboue has now agreed a 12-month deal with Northern Cypriot club Turk Ocagi Limassol.
The current national cup holders have won the trophy five times, as well as three league cups.
They are based in the Turkish-speaking half of the country, which is recognised as a state by Turkey alone. Their national side is not affiliated to FIFA.
Eboue, 34, is familiar with the language from his four seasons with Galatasaray after leaving Arsenal in 2011.
He won three Super Lig titles, the Turkish Cup and two Super Cups with the Istanbul club.
Arsenal transfer news
The defender joined the Gunners from Belgian side Beveren in 2004, and went on to make 214 appearances for Arsene Wenger's side - scoring 10 goals.
But despite his seven years in north London, Eboue failed to win a single piece of silverware with Arsenal.
