Romelu Lukaku due in LA court today over Manchester United star’s summer noise complaint
Belgian was cited for a misdemeanour after five verbal warnings over a rowdy party at a rented Beverly Hills pad
MANCHESTER UNITED striker Romelu Lukaku is due in court today after being arrested in Los Angeles over the summer.
The Belgian was cited for a misdemeanour after five verbal warnings over noise complaints at a Beverly Hills pad he was staying in.
Lukaku, 24, was closing in on his £75million move from Everton to Old Trafford when he was arrested on July 2.
He shared several photos of himself and team-mate Paul Pogba enjoying some down time in the plush house.
The in-form striker does not have to appear in person at the Los Angeles Airport Courthouse and will fly out for Belgium duty instead.
After a rowdy party at his rented home, a police statement said: “On July 2, 2017, at approximately 8:00 PM, Beverly Hills Police Department officers arrested a 24-year-old male subject by the name of Romelu Lukaku Bolingoli.
“Bolingoli received a misdemeanour citation for Beverly Hills Municipal Code Violation 5-1-104 — Excessive Noise.
"The citation was issued after officers responded to five other noise complaints from the same location, which resulted in verbal warnings.
