Manchester City star Leroy Sane the fastest Premier League player ever after clocking up incredible 22.05mph sprint
MANCHESTER CITY star Leroy Sane is officially the fastest Premier League player EVER after clocking up an incredible 22.05mph sprint.
The lightning-quick German winger, 21, notched the incredible top speed in Man City's 1-0 win over Chelsea at the weekend.
After we revealed Sane is officially quicker than a T-Rex, we can also announce he's smashed Jamie Vardy's record top speed, set in Leicester's triumphant 2015-16 season.
Records on sprinting speeds only began in 2014, but Sane's 22.05mph is still mightily impressive.
Sane sits just 0.04mph above Crystal Palace full-back Patrick van Aanholt in the 2017-18 season on 22.01mph.
Elsewhere this season, Antonio Rudiger reached 21.87mph, ahead of Kyle Walker (21.85mph) and Oliver Burke (21.83mph).
Watford's Kiko Femenia comes in at No6 on 21.82mph, level with Arsenal ace Laurent Koscielny.
Leicester forward Vardy does make the 2017-18 list, notching 20.8mph this term.
Chelsea's Kurt Zouma comes in ninth on 21.71mph, while Liverpool speedster Sadio Mane's top speed this term is 21.65mph - good for tenth.
However, even Sane is miles away from the top speed set by Usain Bolt.
