The 28-year-old contract rebel has a big week coming up with his international side.

Chile are currently sixth in South American qualifying, once place off a play-off spot and two away from automatic qualification.

With only two matches left in the Conmebol section, seven teams are separated by only seven points.

Brazil have still qualified and both Bolivia and Venezuela are out of contention.

But seven teams are fighting over the three remaining automatic spots and one play-off spot.

Chile host Ecuador and then travel to Brazil, buoyed by the fact both teams have nothing to play for.

Sanchez had joined the Chile camp with a muscle injury and his picture is clearly a bid to ensure worried fans he is able to play.

Having played 90 minutes against Brighton on Sunday, Sanchez met up with the Chile squad but sat out of training on Monday.

Instead he received treatment from a fitness coach.

He is expected to play both games.

Chile coach Juan Antonio Pizzi said: "We will fight, we will make the greatest effort possible, we believe that we have the ability to compete with the best and we will try to obtain the results that allow us to qualify.

"There are two matches left, I'm going to fight and my players are going to fight, with all the force we have."
