Leicester vs Manchester United set to be the second Christmas Eve game with the two clubs ‘under pressure’ to play the match
According to reports, the two clubs are "pushing back hard" over proposals to join Arsenal and Liverpool as the second December 24 fixture
MANCHESTER UNITED and Leicester are "pushing back hard" on proposals to make their clash the second Christmas Eve fixture.
The two clubs have been approached by the league after Sky suggested making their game the second clash on December 24, with Arsenal vs Liverpool already scheduled.
Arsenal have expressed doubts over whether or not they will have enough stewards and police to make the fixture safe.
And Leicester could have the same problem at the King Power Stadium, on one of the most hectic days of travel on British roads.
According to the Telegraph, Sky Sports are also frustrated at being criticised over the move, after paying £4.2billion for their part of the Premier League rights.
Christmas Eve this year falls on a Sunday and Sky Sports have the rights to pick Super Sunday games as part of their regular Premier League schedule.

But the prospect of a typically disruptive schedule around the holiday season is being even more disrupted is not viewed positively by the four clubs involved.
United are currently set to face Leicester on the 23rd and then Burnley at Old Trafford on Boxing Day - so that game would also be effected.
In fact the Red Devils currently face a bonkers December, where they play eight games in 29 days, including Arsenal, CSKA Moscow and Manchester City.
Chelsea also have reservations about their game with Everton being moved to Christmas Eve.
While the Premier League have yet to confirm the changes, work continues behind the scenes to see who gets the short straw.
