Chelsea star N’Golo Kante has revealed he has no regrets despite snubbing boyhood club Paris Saint-Germain for the Blues

N'GOLO KANTE has revealed he has no regrets about turning down a move to boyhood club Paris Saint-Germain in favour for Chelsea.

The 26-year-old was a wanted man after starring in Leicester City's Premier League title-winning campaign, but chose to join the Blues instead of PSG.

With the Ligue 1 outfit now boasting one of the finest squads in world football after adding Neymar and Kylian Mbappe to their ranks in the summer, they are one of the favourites for the Champions League this season.

Kante could have linked up with Unai Emery's men last campaign, but stayed in England and won a second consecutive top-flight title.

It's a decision the midfielder stands by, speaking to Le10Sport, he said: "Do I regret that I rejected PSG? No.

"When I was in Leicester, I had opportunities, but my priority was to stay in the Premier League.

"When Chelsea contacted me, I spoke with the coach and the feeling was good between us."

Kante - who spent one season in Ligue 1 with Caen before his £5.6million switch to the Foxes - has established himself as one of the finest midfielders in Europe.

His stellar performances earned him the PFA Players' Player of the Year and the FWA Footballer of the Year award last season.

And he has twice been included in the Premier League Team of the Year in his two campaigns in England.

Since arriving into the Premier League in 2015, Kante has missed just four matches in the top-flight.

He has been ever-present under Antonio Conte this season as Chelsea sit fourth in the table - six points behind leaders Manchester City.

Next up for the West London side will be an away clash away to London rivals Crystal Palace after the international break.
