LIVERPOOL ace Mohamed Salah sparked a pitch invasion after sending Egypt to the 2018 World Cup with a 95th minute penalty.

The former Chelsea man smashed home from 12-yards to beat Congo 2-1 with just seconds of injury time to spare.

The Pharaohs had not reached the World Cup finals since 1990 but are now guaranteed a place in Russia with a game to spare, thanks to the Anfield favourite.

Salah put his side ahead side ahead just after the hour, only for Arnold Bouka Moutou to equalise with three minutes left.

The Kop winger looked a broken man after the visitors levelled so late on, sinking to floor in desperation.

But, after beating his thighs in frustration, the No 10 jumped up of the deck and etched his name into folklore.

Salah had already enjoyed a brilliant September with a recent double by scooping Liverpool's Player of the Month and Goal of the Month awards for September.

And October has started off pretty well for the club’s record £36.9 million signing from Roma as he has secured his place on the grandest stage in the summer.
