Harry Winks congratulated by Dele Alli on England debut with amazing throwback photo
Tottenham midfielder was praised by Alli and other Spurs team-mate Harry Kane after impressing against Lithuania
DELE ALLI congratulated Tottenham team-mate Harry Winks on his England debut with an amazing throwback picture.
The pair have known each other since their days in the Three Lions youth setup, with both players featuring since Under-17 level.
And Alli, 21, who is two months younger than Winks, reminded his pal of their days as fresh-faced teens by sharing a brilliant photo of themselves on international duty.
He captioned it: "Congrats on the debut @HarryWinks," followed by a crying with laughter face.
Winks impressed in central midfield despite England's lacklustre 1-0 World Cup qualifying win over Lithuania.
The youngster has featured in five of Spurs' Premier League games this term and helped form a formidable English spine to Mauricio Pochettino's side, alongside Alli, Harry Kane and Eric Dier.
And England captain Kane, whose 27th-minute penalty won the match last night, was full of praise for his team-mate.
He tweeted: "An away win to finish the campaign and buzzing for @HarryWinks making his @England debut."
Winks admitted he was in dreamland after getting the phone call from Southgate.
He said: "It's been a dream week for me, obviously.

"Getting called up at any age group is fantastic, but to get called into the senior so late, the way I found out, it was surreal and I'm really happy."
Winks almost capped his debut off with a goal but for a fine save by Lithuania keeper Ernestas Setkus.
He said: "The keeper made a great save, but I suppose it's just one of those things really. It's a good save, but if it went in it would have been brilliant."
Winks added: "I was quite surprised when I got the call myself to step in, but obviously I'm happy just stepping in at any stage, whether it's just to help the team in training, or whatever it is, it was brilliant for me."
