Inter Milan want ex-Chelsea star Ramires from Jiangsu Suning in January loan move and have their Chinese owners to thank
FORMER Chelsea star Ramires is reportedly set for a return to European football with Inter Milan.
Tuttosport via TMW claims the Jiangsu Suning star is being lined up for a loan move to the San Siro as Inter look to end Juventus’ reign of dominance in Serie A.
Ramires has been a smash hit since leaving Chelsea for China nearly two years ago, and continues to be in and around the Brazil set-up.
But he may soon find himself competing for more honours in Europe should a loan to Inter end up going through.
Chinese consortium Suning Holdings Group hold a majority stake at Inter following a takeover in 2016.
And their sister company, Suning Appliance Group, are the owners of Jiangsu, although both brands fall under the control of Suning Commerce Group and businessman Zhang Jindong.
He is apparently keen for Inter to sustain their title bid and is willing to given them Ramires to aid their efforts until the end of the season.
Jiangsu are fourth from bottom in the 16-team Chinese Super League, and Jindong feels Ramires would be better served playing for Inter until next summer.
It’s said that Jiangsu team-mate Alex Teixeira could also move to the San Siro, with neither player set to impact upon Inter’s Financial Fair Play plans.
And as a result, it could open the door to the Italians making an £18million move for Atlanta FC’s Paraguay international Miguel Almiron, who is also said to be wanted by Arsenal.
