Tottenham vs Bournemouth poised to break Premier League attendance record this weekend at Wembley
TOTTENHAM are set to break the Premier League attendance record when they host Bournemouth on Saturday.
Although there has been some grumblings from fans over the switch to Wembley from White Hart Lane, the football this season is doing the business.
And literally.
The Daily Mail reports that ticket sales are "fast closing on the 76,098 set when Manchester United beat Blackburn 4-1 at Old Trafford in March 2007".
Although the ten-year old Premier League record looks set to be broken, Spurs record attendance at Wembley's will remain intact.
A whopping 85,512 fans turned up to watch them lose 1-0 against Bayer Leverkusen last November in the Champions League.
Spurs' previous highest attendance at the home of football came when 75,587 watched Chelsea claim city bragging rights with a 2-1 win in August.
And it seems to be good news all round for Spurs fans as they embark on a bit of a crest of a wave.
SunSport reported yesterday (Wednesday) that Danny Rose and Erik Lamela have returned to Tottenham training as the pair continue their long road to recovery.
Rose, who was pictured wearing strapping on his knee, has not played since the end of January - missing a total of 34 matches for Mauricio Pochettino's side.

And Lamela, who underwent a second hip operation in May, was also seen at Tottenham's Enfield training ground.
The Argentine has not played in nearly a YEAR, missing 57 matches for the club.
Rose has not played for Spurs since an explosive interview with The Sun in which he demanded he and his team-mates be paid more.
Rose also said he wanted the club to buy players whose names you didn't have to Google first.
