Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho reveals he will quit Old Trafford for new challenge as he drops PSG hint

JOSE MOURINHO says he will not end his career at Manchester United — and opened the door to joining Paris Saint-Germain.

Mourinho was asked in a French TV interview if he would turn down PSG again after snubbing them twice.

In his response, which will stun Red Devils chiefs, the Special One said: “I am still a coach with ambition — with the desire to try new things.

“I am certain I will not finish my career in Manchester.”

Old Trafford boss Mourinho then praised the French champs — admitting his son loves to watch them play.

He said: “My son, who lives in London, decided to go to Paris and not Manchester to watch a game recently.

“Why Paris? Because at the moment PSG has something special. Quality, youth — it’s fantastic.”

SunSport revealed last week  United want Mourinho to pen a new five-year deal after a successful 16 months that has delivered  two major trophies.

And Old Trafford chiefs will wonder about the timing of this interview, which he conducted in French.

The former Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid boss never stays longer than four years at a club.

But United genuinely thought Mourinho, 54, wanted to stay long term.

Mourinho has spoken about his love for the club, fans and players — who he has guided to  second  in the Prem.

Neighbours Manchester City stand above them  — and Mourinho hinted  he came close to getting the Barcelona job instead of his Etihad rival Pep Guardiola in 2008.

He said: “Maybe one day I can tell the truth. These are things that I prefer to keep to myself.

“Maybe one day when I’m old I will say.”
