According to the Daily Mirror, both the Gunners and the Blues have sent sounded out the forward's representatives in the hope of luring him to the Premier League.

The Citizens meanwhile are looking at bringing him in as Barca are poised to lose yet another star from La Masia to England.

To the interest of the three clubs, the striker has a £3million release clause, which expires in 2019.

Ruiz is currently plying his trade for Barcelona B where he has netted once in three league games.

It has been reported that he would prefer to stay with the Catalan club and fight for contention in the first team.

However he has expressed concerns he may never be selected to represented Barca, and could follow the likes of Hector Bellerin, Cesc Fabregas and Gerard Pique who all left the esteemed academy for England.

He was part of the Spain squad that won the U-17 European Championships in 2017, where they beat England in the final.

He finished the tournament as the top goalscorer - netting eight goals - and is the top goalscorer for the Spanish U-17 side, finding the back of the net 21 times in 31 games.
