Arsenal concede more penalties in the Premier League since start of the 2016/17 campaign than any other top-flight side
Gunners have given away 11 spot-kicks in the last 20 months after surrendering to Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday
ARSENAL have conceded more penalties since the start of last season than any other Premier League side.
The Gunners gave away yet another spot-kick against Watford on Saturday as they led 1-0.
And the resulting goal ended up helping the Hornets deliver a knockout blow with a last-gasp winner at Vicarage Road.
Many Arsenal fans feel it’s the same old story for Arsene Wenger’s men, who appear to have a habit of conceding penalties.
And unfortunately for the north Londoners, the stats back up that fear.
Since the beginning of the 2016/17 campaign, Arsenal have handed their opponents ELEVEN penalties.
West Ham and Southampton are joint second, with both sides giving up ten spot-kicks each.
Swansea are next in line, having conceded eight penalties, while Watford, Everton and Liverpool follow up with six a piece.
In contrast, Man Utd and Man City have conceded five, with Chelsea on three and Spurs on two.
And amazingly, Arsenal have given away more penalties in the last 20 months than United, Chelsea and Spurs put together.
