LIVERPOOL chased Naby Keita all summer, but will finally get their hands on the RB Leipzig midfielder next season after shelling out his stunning £48million release clause.

So what is all the fuss about and why was Jurgen Klopp so desperate to get him, and then be happy to wait 12 months to get him to Anfield?

SunSport ran the rule over the Guinea International to see what the Kop can look forward to next season.

It's been a rapid rise for Keita - from lowly Istres in France to ripping up the Bundesliga with newly-promoted Leipzig three years later, and don't forget the obligatory stint at sister club Red Bull Salzburg.

Ralph Hasenhuttl adopts a 4-3-3 formation with Keita in a tight three-man midfield, allowing Marcel Sabitzer to get forward to support the attackers.

That doesn't mean the 22-year-old just sits in the middle of the park with a cigar making easy ten yard passes, when needed, he can effortlessly surge forward taking opposing players out of the game.

He's happy to receive the ball under pressure in tight spots and has a great first touch with a wonderful array of passing.

Liverpool fans get excited, he even has an eye for goal hitting eight in the league last term as the Bundesliga new boys qualified for the Champions League.

In some ways against Porto he was outshone by his team-mate Emil Forsberg.

The Swede was one of three to score against the Portuguese giants as they ran out 3-1 winners.

But that is only an indication of just how good Forsberg was tonight, and not Keita having an off night.

The youngster has all the talent of a superstar and the hard work ethic of a team player, that is why Klopp loves him and you expect the Red half of Merseyside to quickly fall into line.
