Red Star Belgrade vs Arsenal: Mathieu Debuchy set to start first start in almost a year in Europa League
Frenchman is in the squad for the first time this season and has not made an XI since a win over Bournemouth in November 2016
MATHIEU DEBUCHY is expected to start his first game for almost a year against Red Star Belgrade tonight.
The Frenchman has been in exile since a 3-1 win over Bournemouth in November 2016.
But after being called up to the squad for the first time this season, Debuchy could be thrown straight into action.
Arsene Wenger has been rotating his squad in the Europa League as he focuses on securing a top-four finish domestically.
And tonight's clash in Serbia could be the perfect opportunity for Debuchy, 32, to prove his worth to potential suitors.
The full-back - under contract until 2019 - caught the eye of Nice and Brighton this summer and will be hoping for a January exit.
