Arsene Wenger should follow Jose Mourinho’s lead and go hell for leather in the Europa League
Gunners boss should follow Manchester United's example from last season and go hell for leather in trying to win Europe's second biggest cup
THE Europa League is Arsenal's best chance of getting back into the Champions League, and Wenger's best chance of keeping his job.
With the Gunners faltering in the Premier League once more, Arsene Wenger's men recorded their third straight win in the Europa League.
Fielding another young team with pockets of first-teamers, the north London side secured a 1-0 win at Red Star Belgrade, courtesy of Olivier Giroud's acrobatic effort late in the second half.
Jack Wilshere, still waiting for his chance in the Premier League, impressed again as he continues to push for a recall to the league side.
There were also impressive cameos from youngsters Reiss Nelson and Joe Willock.
The win itself has left Gunners top of their group and cruising, meaning Wenger can afford to continue rotating along with securing qualification to the next stage.
Personally, it's been refreshing watching the youngsters and fringe players have a go in the Europa League.
There's an element of fight & spirit that can be found lacking with a first team, which quite frankly, have been average for quite some time.

But there will come a point where the opposition gets stronger and reinforcements will be necessary.
And after another inadequate start to a league campaign, emphasis must soon shift to the bridesmaid of European competition, as winning the Europa league now guarantees safe passage through to Europe's premier completion.
LATEST ARSENAL NEWS
Ultimately all Arsenal fans will agree that the club should be competing for the Premier League.
However if recent seasons are to go by, this is, sadly, unlikely to happen under Arsene Wenger.
So the best we can continue to hope for under his stewardship is a good run in the cups, and hopefully our first taste of European success in the Frenchman's reign.
