Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus has compared Pep Guardiola’s football to the free-flowing style of Brazil
City are lighting up the Premier League with fast, free-flowing football and has already hit 18 league goals before they face Burnley
GABRIEL JESUS thinks Manchester City’s breath taking football this term is comparable to the style played by his country Brazil.
The striker bagged a brace as the Premier League pacesetters thrashed Stoke City last weekend 7-2 at the Etihad.
Jesus was also on target for City in the 2-1 Champions League win against Napoli.
And the 20-year-old with eight goals so far feels the City squad are loving life under Pep Guardiola who has allowed his players to express themselves in a style similar to his native South American roots.
Jesus told Sky Sports: “Yes, it was almost like (Brazilian football), In Brazil when we win with so many goals the players tend to start playing with more style and being playful.
“They start jumping around and it did feel more or less like this.

Pep preferred the Brazilian international ahead of Sergio Aguero last season, but the pair have started together in some games and insists he enjoys working with the Argentine hitman.
He added: “I really like working with Aguero, he is a fantastic guy and we all know how he is as a player, I support him a lot.”
Jesus has capped off an excellent start to life in England by being short-listed for the European Golden Boy award, joining PSG's Kylian Mbappe and Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele.
The 20-year-old is the Premier League's sole representative on the shortlist for the award which is given based on performances over a calendar year.
City face Burnley at the Etihad on Saturday and could extend lead at the top if neighbours Manchester United drop points at Huddersfield.
