Ex-Crystal Palace and Newcastle boss Alan Pardew rejects offer to take charge of Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kiev

The 56-year-old delays his return to management after turning down the chance to move to the Ukraine

ALAN PARDEW has delayed his return to football by snubbing an offer to take charge of Dynamo Kiev.

Pardew was sacked as Crystal Palace manager in December last year after a string of poor results left Eagles at the bottom of the Premier League.

Ukrainian club Kiev were keen to appoint jobless Pards and pay him around £2million a season.

Kiev, currently bossed by Alexsandr Khatskevich, also told Pardew, 56, that they would have backed up his wages with an impressive spending budget for new players.

But Pardew told Kiev he is not ready to manage abroad and is hopeful of landing another crack in the Prem.

He has been linked with numerous jobs since being out of work.

And in the summer he ruled out taking over at Sunderland.

The Black Cats were searching for a new manager after David Moyes quit the club following their relegation to the Championship.

But Pards insisted his relationship with Newcastle means he couldn't have taken over at the Stadium of Light.

Pardew spent four years managing Sunderland's arch rivals from 2010.

He said: "Being the opposite of Newcastle, I don't think that's the club for me.

"Sometimes when you have been a manager at a big club like that, to go to a rival is something I wouldn't do so that wouldn't interest me."

Pardew was linked with the vacant job at Watford before Marco Silva edges closer to taking over at Vicarage Road.
