Chelsea target Yannick Carrasco unhappy at Atletico Madrid for not being allowed to return home when injured
Blues chased Belgian star over the summer and now winger is at odds with La Liga side as he struggles to recover from a knee injury
ATLETICO MADRID star Yannick Carrasco has fallen out with the club - after they refused to let him return home while he recovers from injury.
Belgian winger Carrasco has missed the last four matches after being struck with tendinitis in his left knee, and wanted to make a visit to family at home.
But according to AS, La Liga side Atletico blocked the trip and insisted he remained in Madrid to recuperate, leaving the player angry with his treatment.
And his fallout will be watched closely by Premier League champions Chelsea, who were keen on signing him last summer.
The 24-year-old has seen his relationship with the Spanish side sour in recent months and looks unsettled in Madrid.
He first showed sign of frustrations last month when he was substituted during the side's disappointing away Champions League draw with Qarabag.
Carrasco stormed away from the pitch after he was taken off by Diego Simeone, who is growing under increasing pressure this season.
Simeone and club officials are said to have had strong words with the player over his attitude when they got back into the dressing room.

But Carrasco himself hit back, claiming he had been unfairly asked to play even though he was already feeling pain in his knee.
It now appears as though the relationship between player and club has turned sour - just at a time when Atletico are suffering on the pitch themselves.

They saw their hopes of qualifying for the knock-out stages of the Champions League take a huge hit as they stumbled to a second draw with Qarabag this week.
That result leaves them third in Group C on three points from their opening four matches - with Chelsea and Roma likely to progress.
Chelsea watched the winger several times last season and he was understood to be high on their list of potential targets.
But they found Atletico unwilling to do business over the summer, with the club hoping to mount serious challenges in La Liga and in Europe.
Yet even though they are unbeaten in the league this season they are already eight points adrift of leaders Barcelona because they have drawn five games.
