PAUL POGBA was a notable absentee from the Manchester United side that travelled to London ahead of Sunday's clash with Chelsea.

The Red Devils boarded a train down south from Stockport station without the French international, while Marouane Fellaini and Marcos Rojo both travelled with the squad.

It had been reported that the injured Pogba could feature against the Blues as he recovers from a hamstring problem that has plagued him since mid-September.

The 24-year-old looks set to miss the crucial match-up against Chelsea, but there is still a slight chance the ex-Juventus ace could be in action.

In the FA Cup encounter between the two side's last season, Marcus Rashford failed to travel with the squad to London, but instead made his own way down later on in the day.

However on a positive for Jose Mourinho, he will be able to call upon Fellaini tomorrow afternoon, as the Belgian has recovered from a knee injury he picked up in a World Cup qualifier against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Fellaini has netted four times in eight games for the Europa League champions this campaign, and could start ahead of Ander Herrera.

Rojo - who has been out since April with an anterior cruciate ligament is unlikely to start against Chelsea - as he looks to not be rushed back into the starting XI.

Romelu Lukaku, Juan Mata and Nemanja Matic are in line to start against their former side, in what will be the Serbian internationals first return to Stamford Bridge.
