Barcelona transfer policy to drastically change and give boost to Liverpool’s hopes of keeping Philippe Coutinho
The Blaugrana are said to only want players that can win them the Champions League - with Coutinho ineligible if he moves
LIVERPOOL may have been handed a boost after Barcelona reportedly changed their transfer policy.
The Blaugrana made three bids to land Philippe Coutinho during the transfer window but failed to prise him away.
Catalan paper Sport say that Barca are now only looking at players that can win them the Champions League.
Andre Gomes, Paco Alcacer, Jasper Cillessen and Lucas Digne have all been signed but failed to make an impact.
And it is now said that Barca chiefs will only move for players they feel can make an instant impact in their attempts to win back the Champions League.
The club's hierarchy were said to have been alarmed by the 0-0 draw with Olympiakos, with all four players named on the bench.
