Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Tottenham on Saturday equalled the record for most wins in London derbies in the Premier League
THEY said the tide had turned in North London... that Tottenham were the now top dogs after years of Arsenal dominance.
Yet you wouldn't have known it on Saturday, as Arsene Wenger's Gunners simply cruised to a 2-0 victory at the Emirates.
Shkodran Mustafi's superb header gave Arsenal the lead, before Alexis Sanchez quickly doubled the hosts' tally.
There was no coming back for Spurs as they looked devoid of ideas - with Harry Kane and Dele Alli hauled off late in the game, with the clash all-but lost.
Aside from the local bragging rights, Arsenal had another reason to cheer on Saturday.
In comfortably dismantling Mauricio Pochettino's side, the Gunners equalled the record for most London derby wins in the Premier League.
The victory at the Emirates was Arsenal' 119th against a fellow London club - drawing them level with Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Tottenham sit way back - 40 wins behind, in fact - with just 79 wins against Londoners.

The first of those two big games will be against Huddersfield on November 29... with the second against Manchester United on December 2.
